The 2011 Heritage Building Society Crow's Nest Festival

The Crow's Nest Arts Council is hosting the annual Scare Crow Competition. Thanks Arts Council !

As this is a real community festival, as community members advise us what they are presenting, we will add to the programme.

  • Keep up to date by purchasing our local newspaper, The Crow's Nest Advertiser. Out each Tuesday.
  • The Crow's Nest Community Arts & Crafts building in William Street is open 7 days from 10am until 4pm.
  • Birds of the Bible. Display of Bibles and miniature tapestries of birds of the Bible to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible. In the window of the New Creation Op Shop, Curnow St, Crow's Nest.

  • Crow's Nest Historical Society is conducting the Crow's Nest's Heritage in Action at Carbethon, New England Highway, Crow's Nest.10am-4pm. See page Heritage in Action.  Horse cart rides * milking cows * pony rides * damper making * merry go round * butter making * blacksmith * horse whim * wedding re-enactment and more.   • Fashion parade. CANCELLED Free entry. Featuring fabulous clothes for the family from our local THREADZ and The Nazarene. 12noon - 1pm. Lutheran Church Hall, Crow's Nest. Lions BBQ starts at 11:30am, then the fashion parade at noon. All welcome. CANCELLED

  • Community dinner and presentation to the community of the Australia Day Citizen of the Year Honour Board. An Australia Day Committee initiative.   • Crow's Nest Garden Gathering in Centenary Park, Crow's Nest. Hosted by the Crow's Nest Garden Club. Special Guest - Brian Sams. Huge multi-draw raffle with proceeds to the Rural Fire Brigade and the plant signage at Hartmann's Park project. Guest speakers, stalls. 9am - 1:30pm.   • The Toowoomba Field Naturalists are having breakfast with the birds at Ravensbourne National Park at 7am, followed by a bird walk. Meet under the big fig tree. BYO breakfast. Free tour. Visit Highfields Falls later.Book on 4698 1727

  • Enjoy a walk down to Bullocky's Rest and back to town.
